Zambia Visa Fee Updates from 1 January 2026
 
The Department of Immigration in Zambia has confirmed updated visa fees, effective 1 January 2026.
 
Single entry visa: Previously USD 25; Now USD 50

Double entry visa: Previously USD 40; Now USD 80

KAZA UniVisa: USD 50; No change

Multiple entry visa: Previously USD 75; Now USD 80

Day tripper visa: USD 10; No change


Please note many nationalities, including the UK, most of Europe, and the USA, do not require a visa to enter Zambia, therefore these changes will not apply to those travellers. As visa requirements vary by nationality, please always check the latest entry requirements for each traveller before arrival.
 
Please also note that the Victoria Falls border post between Zimbabwe and Zambia will now operate 24 hours a day going forward.

Some exciting updates from Proflight Zambia as we move into the final stretch of 2025:

•    New Route to Windhoek -this launches on 03 March 2026. Scheduled will be offered to Windhoek from both Lusaka and Livingstone, operated by the CRJ-200 jet.

Flights will run 3 times weekly (Tuesdays, Fridays, Sundays) – offering the only direct Lusaka–Windhoek and Livingstone–Windhoek services.

•    Additional Flights to Johannesburg -a third daily Lusaka–Joburg service has been added on weekends and throughout the December/January holiday season, ensuring smoother international connections without overnight layovers.

•    Cape Town Frequency Increases - Proflight continues to operate the only direct Lusaka–Cape Town flights, with frequencies stepping up from October through to January 2026.

Proflight Zambia is set to launch flights to Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, from March 3 next year. The route will operate three times a week, linking both Lusaka and Livingstone to Windhoek.

Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The Lusaka to Windhoek flight will include a 30-minute stopover in Livingstone with passengers remaining on board. The Livingstone to Windhoek flight will run as a direct service.

Flight schedule:

    Lusaka to Windhoek: 08h30-11h35
    Livingstone to Windhoek: 09h55-11h35
    Windhoek to Livingstone: 12h20-13h55
    Windhoek to Lusaka: 12h20-15h20

The schedule allows morning connections from Ndola to Windhoek and evening connections from Windhoek to Ndola, Solwezi and Mfuwe.

Proflight Zambia has announced scheduled flights 3 times a week between Lusaka and Chunga Airstrip, in the central sector of the Kafue National Park, from June 1st, 2024. 

This improves access to a number of Lodges in Kafue.

The pricing is very attractive and provides a long awaited alternative to charter flights.  

1. Proflight Zambia has launched the first ever direct flights between Lusaka and Cape Town. Proflight will operate the new route using its 50-seat CRJ jet, giving a flying time of 3 hours 15 minutes. Initially the service will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. On other days passengers can continue to Cape Town via Proflight’s three-times-a-day service between Lusaka and Johannesburg and then onwards with its partner airlines Safair, Cemair and South African Airways.

2. Zambia Airways Spread its Wings into South Africa

The Lusaka-based airline, with its hub at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, currently flies from Lusaka to the Zambian domestic destinations of Livingstone, Solwezi, and Ndola.

From June 1, the carrier will debut five flights per week to Johannesburg, using a Boeing 737-700 in both business and economy class. Flights will become daily return flights on July 1st.

On Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Saturday, ZN0305 departs Lusaka at 07h00 and arrives OR Tambo at 09h00. The returning flight, ZN0304, departs OR Tambo at 09h45 and arrives Lusaka at 11h45.

On Friday, ZN0305 departs Lusaka at 13h30 and arrives OR Tambo at 15h30. The Friday returning flight, ZN0304, departs OR Tambo at 16h15 and arrives Lusaka at 18h15.
