Busanga Bush Camp
Busanga Bush Camp lies in the heart of the Busanga Plains, Kafue’s vast grassy seasonal floodplains. The floodplains and open, grassy areas teem with wildlife and birds. As the plains dry out, this camp is perfectly situated to see large numbers of plains game followed by their predators, most notably lion. Cheetah and wild dog are also to be seen, while a special treat is the resident herd of roan antelope. For those interested in birding, the park boasts 491 species. Busanga Bush Camp is set on a tree-island of sycamore figs, and has just four well-appointed en-suite tents; each of which boasts a hammock on the veranda.
The lounge and bar area is under canvas, and enjoys an uninterrupted view out over the plains. Set a little back is the dining area, shaded by the canopy of a majestic tree from which a unique lantern chandelier hangs, romantically lighting up dinner – particularly as most meals are served al fresco.
Breakfasts are often enjoyed in the wonderful pink sunrises, caused by the morning mists.
