Old Mondoro
Old Mondoro is situated well inside the Lower Zambezi National Park, in excellent walking country, and guests get to enjoy some excellent game viewing, including elephant, leopard, and seasonal wild dog sightings.
Old Mondoro is small and intimate, offering accommodation for only 8 guests. Old Mondoro might best be described as an upmarket bush camp, and boasts all the comforts. All rooms have spacious, shaded verandas, choice of 2 singles or King bed, featuring Egyptian cotton linens; hot and cold running water, insect screens; indoor loo and washbasin for convenient access; outdoor shower, outdoor “splash tub” for indulgent hot baths or, in the hot months, refreshing dips with fabulous views.
The main Camp area is a canvas and reed lounge area, set on timber decks overlooking a collection of small islands in the Zambezi River.

Activities at Old Mondoro are diverse, and you get the explore this beautiful area, whether on bush walks, game drives (day and night), canoeing, game viewing by boat and catch and release angling.
Old Mondoro is run along strict eco-friendly lines, with a trash in – trash out policy; well-designed water waste and management of grey water into graduated drainage; clean battery inverter power system for overnight and “quiet times” power. In addition guests are provided with aluminium water bottles as gifts to cut back on plastic bottle waste, which has reduced consumption in camp by 80% - some 3,000 bottles!
