Tongabezi Lodge
Tongabezi Lodge, is a luxury property on a beautiful section of the Zambezi River, exuding warmth and comfort.
Accommodation at Tongabezi is in 5 open-fronted houses, and 6 cottages (5 River, 1 Garden). Each "unit" at Tongabezi has its own valet, to look after you and also who also acts as a private concierge. Each house is undeniably unique, from the Honeymoon House, with its private balcony overlooking the Zambezi River, to the Bird House with its sweeping views and open-air sunken bath. You might prefer the open-decked Tree House, and the Dog House, or the new Nut House, which is entirely enclosed, and boasts a private garden and infinity plunge pool.
The 5 River Cottages, all overlook the banks of the Zambezi River and each has either a large double bed or two singles, plus a mosquito net and en suite bath and shower. You can also enjoy the indoor and outdoor areas for private dining, or as somewhere to relax and enjoy your surroundings. The Cottages are enclosed, and may be more suited for those who are not as happy with being in the open-fronted Houses.
Tongabezi's Garden Cottage is ideal for a family or a couple seeking luxury and privacy. The house is hidden behind a private walled garden, and is set back from the River, making it the only accommodation at the lodge which does not have a view of the Zambezi River. The cottage boasts 2 bedrooms, a private living room, with fireplace, and open-air sunken bath.

The main lodge area houses the central lounge, bar and dining room, which are set under thatch. In addition, there is a swimming pool which has been landscaped into the rock face. Meals are served in the large dining room or on the extensive deck overlooking the river.
Tongabezi also has The Lookout, set next to the existing Tonga Lounge, dining and cocktail decks. The Lookout offers exceptional views of the Zambezi and surrounds, and is built on more than one level. Whether you need to check in with the world in the high tech ante room, or wish to enjoy an excellent, private meal, - the Lookout provides the space.
Tongabezi offers luxury and relaxation, but there is also a great range of activities which includes game drives, bush walks, sunrise and sunset boating trips. As there is no set pattern to your day at Tongabezi, you can choose to be as active, or relaxed as you wish.
Non inclusive activities includes bungee jumping, white water rafting, a visit to Livingstone Island where you can enjoy lunch in the middle of the Zambezi, right on the lip of the Victoria Falls and flights over the Falls, to mention a few - all of which can be arranged in advance, or when you are at the Lodge.
