Kakuli
Kakuli Camp is in an area of the National Park that is renowned for offering guests some of the best game viewing opportunities in Zambia.
Accommodation at Kakuli (it means old buffalo) Camp is in 5 spacious, safari tents under shady thatched roofs, each with an open-air bathroom. All of the tents overlook the river with wonderful views up and down this hippo-packed stretch of the Luangwa. 1 of the units is specifically for family use and boasts 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
A lovely thatched area acts as the centre of camp. It is built on a wooden deck overlooking the grazing lawn that leads down to the two rivers and is a perfect spot in which to relax and watch the river and the wildlife.
Most meals are served buffet-style, but for dinner you will generally be seated with the persons who have accompanied you on your safaris that day, plus your guide, giving you the opportunity to discuss your experiences of the day together.
