Once the birds have made their decision, the annual hide is carefully positioned at the base of the bank, to allow an excellent view... allowing for some excellent birding and photography for the next couple of months.
Tafika's Carmine hide is ready for the season. The magnificent Carmine Bee eaters have arrived at the Luangwa River, for the annual nesting season (in holes in the steep river bank). Happily for Tafika (and its guests!), the Carmines have once again chosen a spot nor far from camp - a mere 5 minutes away.
